Guru Cruise Exposed – Scam, Hype, Or Legitimate Business Opportunity?

What Is Guru Cruise?
Guru Cruise is a new program founded by CEO Mike Potillo at the beginning of July 2008. The product is a high end 4 day seminar cruise with 4 guest speaker “marketing gurus”. They include: Simon Leung, Lisa Diane, Paulie Sabol and bonus speaker Mr. X. The first event doesn’t takes place until October 26, 2009.
Who Is Promoting Guru Cruise?
So far some of the top internet marketers promoting this cruise are the following: Darren Gaudry owner of 2-up program Passport To Wealth and his newest addition My Internet Business. Some of his affiliates have also followed his lead to promote Guru Cruise. Other big names marketing this program are Chris Campbell and Matthew Sunderland. Your may have come across them over the past two years with EDC Gold, Road Map To Riches and most recently Reverse Funnel System. These are some very savvy marketers with deep marketing budgets promoting this program, so I am not sure how the average person would hold up with a limit on tickets available for the 1st cruise.
What Is The Cost And Compensation Plan?
The price of $3,500 covers the cost of ONE 4 Day Caribbean cruise ticket, which is all inclusive (food and cabin), as well as YOUR attendance at the Guru Cruise Internet Marketing Seminar Event! This just covers one person, no spouse or business partner according to the website. Also there is a $99 annual registration fee to activate your account and website. Additional cost will include your advertising and any other internet marketing software or services you implement.
The compensation plan is being described as perpetual leverage. There is a $1000 direct commission paid on every personal sale and a $1000 indirect commission from the sales of your personally referred members.
Is Guru Cruise A Scam?
Guru Cruise doesn’t seem to be a scam since they offer a real product with an income opportunity for serious entrepreneurs, but there is definitely a lot of hype with this program. It seems to be getting a lot of negative publicity from the start due to a you tube video posted by the CEO bashing other high ticket and make money online programs. Then supposedly Mike Potillo went on to attempt to remove the video, not knowing there had already been copies made that were circulating the internet. Also there has been information found from other sources that attending the business overview calls that claim certain questions were not handled very professional. So with the small amount of information available this far, the foundation doesn’t look very promising for a new business venture.
